For use on wire rod and section mills in dividing shears and cold cutting shears. Two main types of blades are used on mills
1. Flying shear blades: Depending on the function of the flying shears on the mill (end cropping of rolling/dividing shears during thermal hardening) we offer various types of materials. In the case where blades are installed on dividing shears, we can offer patented steel grades and production technology, therefore we offer blades with combined appropriate clamps: · Increased strength; · Increased yield strength. This makes it possible to avoid both chipping and plastic deformation of the blade.
2. Cold cutting shear blades work in more demanding conditions than, for example, dividing shear blades. We select steel grades for their manufacture taking into account the need to ensure periodic cutting even for tempered reinforcement of high strength classes.
This is achieved by adding additional alloying elements and hardening to increase hardness. To extend service life it is important to service and repair blades in a timely manner. They must be sharp and well cleaned. If during cutting of hardened rolled products the operator observes a crack in the cladding or even local damage to the cutting edge of the blade and in other doubtful cases, replace and repair the blade.
